Right Now: Here We Are is a scrapbook of ponderings about the nature of our memory in relation to childhood, and how we use memory to create meaning in our lives in a universe that often feels meaningless.
Not What You Want But What You Need is a personal exploration of unrequited love and dissection of mental processes that are bared in heartbreak and self-loathing.
Documentation: By Your Own Discretion is about childhood and identity in the retrospect. How one understands themself because of how we’ve felt, what we’ve seen, and what we’ve been told. It’s about trusting yourself to unveil who you really are.
Alive With Pleasure! is a collage book/zine consisting of found ads and brochures from the early to mid 20th century. It takes a retrospective look at western culture where it comes to dieting, the nuclear family unit, and a woman’s place among that. Taking a second more critical look at how we have measured success and perfection that has led us to the discontentedness we may be feeling now.
Never Since is a handmade scrapbook of poems, stories, and prose. Retellings of memories, wishes and dreams, and a desire to meet oneself again.
Our Family History is an altered collage book of utilizing the artist’s family archive.
Isolation is hard / bask in the sun is a booklet within a zine exploring loneliness, isolation, and growing pains.
Work in progress. The working title is Recipes for the Body. It will incorporate my own recipes presented in a style influenced from church community cookbooks, images like the ones below, and thoughts and advice on how to fill your relationship with food with love and friendship.
